Chair Steven Krug, M.D.

​​​National Biodefense Science Board

Dr. Steven Krug is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and heads the Division of Emergency Medicine at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Dr. Krug serves as the chairperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Disaster Preparedness Advisory Council and is a past-chair for the AAP’s Committee on Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Section on Emergency Medicine. Dr. Krug has been an active participant within the Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) program at both state and national levels and serves on the Advisory Boards for the National EMSC Data Analysis Resource Center, located at the University of Utah, and the EMSC National Resource Center based at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Krug is the editor-in-chief for the journal, Clinical Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
