April 28, 2011 Public Meeting

Public Meeting
The NBSB will hold a public meeting on Thursday, April 28, 2011.  The NBSB will discuss and consider recommendations from the NBSB’s All Hazards Science Response Working Group (AHSR WG).  The Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response charged the NBSB, with investigating strategies on a way forward to better deal with knowledge gaps and science needs as part of an inclusive response to future hazards and public health emergencies.  The Board will also hear a presentation on addressing pediatric population access to medical countermeasures.

Public Participation
Meetings of the NBSB are open to the public and attendance is welcome.  Members of the public may attend in-person or listen to the deliberations by calling 1-866-395-4129, referencing the conference ID “ASPR”, and then following the directions of the operator.  Members of the public participating in-person or by phone will have an opportunity to provide comment during the meeting and will be asked to provide their name, title, and organization.  Written comments can be sent by e-mail to nbsb@hhs.gov with “NBSB Public Comment” in the subject line.
