HPP is a cooperative agreement administered by ASPR’s National Healthcare Preparedness Programs (NHPP) Branch. It establishes the foundation
for national health care readiness, promotes a consistent national focus to improve patient outcomes during emergencies, and enables rapid health
care service resilience and recovery.

National Special Pathogen System (NSPS)
The NSPS is a nationwide systems-based network approach that builds on existing infrastructure and investments in preparing for infectious disease outbreaks. NSPS supports the urgent preparedness and response needs of hospitals, health systems, and health care providers related to treating patients with special pathogens.
