Nevada Medical Evacuation and Fatality Management Exercises: July 2011

Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP)

Patient evacuation   In the summer of 2011 Nevada received a grant from ASPR to further develop and implement plans for fatality management and medical evacuation. The Nevada State Health Division and the Nevada Hospital Association then divided that grant into nine mini-grants to award to nine hospitals based on region, number of beds and size of facility.
The nine hospitals that received a grant were chosen due to their impeccable preparedness efforts and plans that could be used as a basis for other medical facilities in developing their own plans.

The grants will allow the hospitals to further develop their fatality management and exercise for future disasters or events.
