Ebola Preparedness for the U.S. Healthcare System

Webinar held on September 29, 2014.  Co-sponsored by HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

Overview

ASPR and CDC have developed a Detailed Hospital Checklist for Ebola Preparedness to highlight activities that all hospitals can take to prepare for the possibility of a patient exposed to Ebola arriving for medical care.  This webinar is especially for hospital emergency managers, infection control officers, hospital leadership, and clinical staff. The checklist provides practical and specific suggestions to ensure your hospital is able to detect possible Ebola cases, protect your employees, and respond appropriately.

Frequently monitor CDC’s Ebola website for the most current information on Ebola. CDC is available 24/7 for consultation.  State and local health departments with questions should contact  the CDC Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at 770-488-7100 or via email at eocreport@cdc.gov.
