Cleaning Your Aerator

EPA recommends that Flint residents clean their aerators once a week.  This quick video explains what an aerator is, why it matters, and how to clean it.

What is an aerator? Why does it matter? How do I clean it?

Replacing Your Filter Cartridge

Does your filter cartridge need to be changed? All Flint residents should use water filters. There is a small dot on the filter – some of them even light up. It lets you know if your filter cartridge needs to be changed. Does yours? Red: Change the filter cartridge now. Your filter cartridge is not working. Get a new one. Yellow: Change your filter cartridge soon. Your filter is working, but you will need a new filter cartridge soon. Green: Your filter is working. Just remember to check the dot from time to time.
