Public Health Emergency Response and Recovery

ASPR facilitates robust and reliable public health security capabilities by building and maintaining HHS partnerships. These collaborations improve the ability to detect and diagnose 21st century health threats and the capability to rapidly dispense medical countermeasures and deploy personnel and resources in an emergency.

ASPR advocates for and provides services and programs that: enhance disease situational awareness, strengthen disease containment, improve risk communication, ensure rapid medical countermeasures, grow the next generation of leaders and modernize response and recovery capabilities.
