ASPR is making available via download to applicants the ASPR Next White Paper Template in Microsoft Word. This templates use is optional, it is not required for applicants to submit a White Paper under the ASPR Next BAA, and is being provided as a Proven Practice to reduce risk of submitted White Papers failing contract compliance checks against the BAA’s submission requirements.
Key Components of Your White Paper Submission:
White Paper Cover Page:
All White papers must include the following information:
- Area of interest (please note only one area of interest is permitted per white paper);
- White paper title;
- Contact details for your company organization; and
- Contact details for your primary point of contact.
White Paper Body:
Ensure the White Paper (includes the White Paper Cover Page) does not exceed Five (5) the page limit. The White Paper must address the following issues:
- Identify the ASPR Next Area of Interest (AOI).
- Please note that only one area of interest is permitted per White Paper.
- What are you trying to do?
- Clearly articulate your objectives.
- How is it done today, and what are the limits of current practice?
- What is new in your approach and why do you think it will be successful?
- If you are successful, what difference will it make?
- What are the risks?
- How much will it cost?
- How long will it take?
- What are the mid-term and final metrics to measure success, and in what interval will they be achieved?
Addendum:
Applicants using this template for the Addendum should ensure it covers the BAA requirements for Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) actual or estimated schedule(s) and cost(s).
It is vital that applicants ensure all proposed project(s) ROM(s) explain the final metrics to that will be used to measure success and in what interval for each projects output or end state.
It is recommended that you use only high-level concise scientific or technical diagrams/information and that they are sized size to maximize use of submission space.
Ensure the White Paper does not exceed the Ten (10) page limit (White Paper and Addendum pages).
White Paper Document Formatting Requirements
- Single PDF file as an email attachment
- Page Size: 8 ½ x 11” with 1” Margins
- Spacing: single
- Font: Arial, 11 point (use of Arial or another readable sans serif font and readable smaller size point in tables and captions will be accepted)
