This page contains information that will assist Federal, State, local, Tribal and Territorial emergency planners in all-hazards public health emergency preparedness and response.  It provides useful information about the Federal emergency response structure along with guidance and reference tools for multi-jurisdictional preparedness and planning.

The information contained here is not a substitute for emergency preparedness activities and is not intended to replace existing emergency operations plans, procedures, or guidelines within a jurisdiction’s health department, medical system or emergency management agency.  It is consistent with the doctrine, concepts, principles, terminology, and organizational processes in the National Response Framework (NRF), the National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF), and the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
