Public Health Emergency - Leading a Nation Prepared
The new coalition-centric HPP performance measures will be introduced along with the details of their associated data elements at the upcoming Training on HPP-only and HPP-PHEP Joint Performance Measures. From the engaging training sessions to the thought provoking interactive group sessions, this training event will certainly be ideal to exchange information on measures which you won’t want to miss!
ASPR’s Healthcare Systems and Evaluation Branch (HSEB) has developed a new set of provisional HPP performance measures that mark a shift in program emphasis toward the development of healthcare coalitions. Additionally this year, ASPR and CDC, together, will introduce joint measures that are used by both HPP and CDC's PHEP. To give HPP awardees the opportunity to become better acquainted with the two data sets on which they will be collecting next grant year, ASPR requests the attendance of all HPP Awardees at an in-person, 1.5 day training session beginning the afternoon of July 17th and ending on July 18th.
The goal of the training is to familiarize awardees with the new FY12 measures and the more detailed associated data elements. This will be accomplished through facilitated discussions and by working through scenario-based examples. Amongst other activities, meeting participants will interact with other participants to provide and get feedback on questions and issues of concern, and receive “hands on” opportunity to become familiar with use of an exportable, modular, train the trainer package created by ASPR to support awardee training of other state awardees and local sub-awardees. HPP and HSEB hope to provide training that will support attendees in this new effort of data collection and leave all awardees more confident in their ability to respond to the measures and reporting requirements.
