Public Health Emergency - Leading a Nation Prepared
Within the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Office of Operations and Resources (OOR) is responsible for the management of national programs designed to prepare for, respond to, and recover from 21st century health security threats. OOR is organized into two offices, Emergency Management and Medical Operations (EMMO) and Resource Management (ORM). OOR manages the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS), the National Disaster Medical System (NDMS), the Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP), and the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC). Additionally, OOR manages the ASPR regional offices in the states and territories and houses ASPR’s Division of Community Mitigation and Recovery.
