Community of Practice Call: School-based Screening Testing

The Department of Health and Human Services is releasing $10 billion to states to support COVID-19 screening testing for teachers, staff and students to assist schools in re-opening for in-person instruction and to support essential worker testing. Testing helps schools identify infected individuals without symptoms who may be contagious so that prompt action can be taken to prevent further transmission.

This week’s Community of Practice call will focus on the importance of the partnership between public health and education in establishing COVID-19 K-12 school screening testing programs and provide information on assistance being offered to support these programs.
