Reporting Utilization of COVID-19 Therapeutics

Weekly reporting on the use of federally purchased COVID-19 therapeutics is required each Wednesday by 11:59 pm ET. Sites that administer these therapies must provide information regarding product utilization and stock on hand to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through HHS Protect, TeleTracking, CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN), or through state/territory health departments, depending on facility type and jurisdictional guidance.

Sites Required to Report

All sites administering federally purchased COVID-19 therapeutics must report required information each week. These sites include:

Hospitals / Hospital Pharmacies via HHSProtect

  • Hospitals and hospital pharmacies are required to report information regarding mAb utilization and stock on hand. Report therapeutics data via HHSProtect alongside facility Capacity and Utilization data already reported through the existing Federal COVID-19 Guidance for Hospital Reporting process. Coordinate with your hospital administrator to avoid creating duplicate accounts. Confirm your hospital is reporting therapeutics data through an existing HHSProtect Federal COVID-19 account.

Long Term Care Facilities / Skilled Nursing Facilities via NHSN

Non-hospital Facilities via HHS TeleTracking

  • Non-hospital facilities (such as urgent care clinics, dialysis clinics, pharmacies)must also report therapeutics data on a weekly basis. Such facilities can do so through the HHS TeleTracking COVID-19 Portal.
  • HHS TeleTracking accounts for non-hospital facilities can be established by
    • completing the Therapeutics Facility Template; you must include Name, Address and at least one of the following elements: NPI, CCN, Tax ID, DEA ID, AHA ID, HHS ID, or NHSN ID;
    • email the completed template to hhs-protect@teletracking.com with the SUBJECT: New Therapeutic Facility Request (NOTE: for security reasons, do not create an account with a public email domain such as @gmail.com or yahoo.com);
    • An invitation will then be sent with instructions on how to access the Portal within 24-48 hours.
    • Please check your inbox for an email from protect-noreply@hhs.gov with the SUBJECT: Invitation: HHS TeleTracking COVID-19 Portal.
    • Once your account is created, details will be provided on how to report your COVID-19 monoclonal antibody therapeutics data.
    • If you already report through a Federal COVID-19 reporting site, continue reporting via that site; do not create a TeleTracking account.

First Time Reporting

For sites reporting COVID-19 monoclonal antibody utilization information for the first time sites, report quantity of mAb therapies on hand and the amount of product used TO DATE since the facility began receiving mAbs. This guidance only applies to the first week of reporting, and all subsequent reports must be based on weekly utilization.
