The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services offers guidance to healthcare providers during natural disasters, extreme weather, and emergencies. The CMS emergency website includes FAQs on replacing lost or damaged durable medical equipment or prescriptions and information about waivers. Learn More >>

The Emergency Prescription Assistance Program (EPAP) assists people in the impacted areas who have no other forms of health insurance coverage to replace certain prescription medications and limited durable medical equipment lost or damaged in the hurricane. Residents who have insurance through an employer, private insurance, or are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or the Children’s health Insurance Program must use these programs to replace prescriptions and limited durable medical equipment.  Learn More >>
