DRIVe - Spurring Innovation: Alternative Description for Time-Based Media

The following is a text alternative description for the DRIVe: Spurring Innovation Exit Icon video.

(Video begins with Dr. Rick Bright, Director of the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) which is a component of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) speaking in front of the DRIVe - Transforming Health Security logo.)

DRIVe is pretty amazing for both the government and private sector worlds. BARDA has proven expertise in advanced development and manufacturing. Now, with DRIVe, we can go further; search for the best innovations; pairing them with some of the best scientific minds and then, infusing the partnership with venture capital investors. We see a world where we can make products to both protect our national health security and also be used in the commercial market.

It's a big step, and the time is now for BARDA to take that step...with DRIVe.

(The video concludes with an image, a black background featuring the HHS logo and the video production disclaimer in white, as a female voice over announces "Produced at U.S. taxpayer expense by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services")
