The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will host the fourth in-person meeting of the Health Care Industry Cybersecurity Task Force on December 15, 2106. Since the October 2016 meeting, the Task Force has continued its examination of medical devices, identified and categorized cyber risks to the health care sector, and begun to develop recommendations and create the draft report to Congress.
The open session of the December Task Force meeting will feature speakers from AHIP, HIMSS, and a representative from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology FACA committee.
The Task Force was created by the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015 and is comprised of government and private industry leaders who are innovators in technology and pioneers in health care.
